Image of Churchill Tank Mk VII restored
This website tells the story of the restoration to full running order of three Churchill Tanks.
The restoration is being done with much help and involvement on the part of the Tank Museum at Bovington and the actual work is currently being carried out at the Isle of Wight Military History Museum.
The project aims to bring these unique survivors back to life, not only as a tribute to those who fought in them, but also as a means of reaching out to veterans and a new generation of children who have diminishing knowledge of the role these famous tanks played in our nation’s history.
The tanks are available for filming and documentaries.
UPDATE March 2012
